For the 2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the SUV gets a new trim level added to its range. Known as the “Estrema”, this slots above the Veloce trim, below the deluxe Quadrifoglio. This introduces several welcome changes to the Veloce to make it the ideal blend of the Veloce and the Quadrifoglio.  

Performance

All trims below the Quadrifoglio regain the same dynamic turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine from the 2022 model year of the SUV. Offering drivers 280 horsepower with an automatic eight-speed transmission handling all the acceleration, the ride in the 2023 Stelvio remains pleasant throughout the journey. The Quadrifoglio still maintains its 505-horsepower twin-turbocharged 2.9L V6 engine from its previous model year. The base model and the Quadrifoglio are equipped with standard RWD just like the 2022 model year, while all trims other than the Quadrifoglio have AWD as the equipped drivetrain.  

Exterior & Interior Features

With the introduction of the new Estrema trim level comes a different look from the previous Veloce. This includes having both the mirror caps and the grille trimmed with carbon fiber. These provide the exterior of the Estrema trim with the same racing-inspired edge as the deluxe Quadrifoglio. It also rides on 21-inch wheels that are painted in a glossy black. For those interested in purchasing the new trim, they can opt for four different colors from the factory. They are Alfa Rosso, Alfa White, Misano Blue, and a striking Vulcano Black. Other than these alterations, the family of 2023 Stelvio models maintains the same feel as their 2022 counterparts.  

Safety Features

Driver-assistance features are unaltered from the 2022 model year Stelvio to the 2023 version of the SUV. This includes having AWD as the standard drivetrain on all trims starting above the base and below the Quadrifoglio. Drivers will also appreciate the premium systems that accompany them on every trim of the Stelvio. Features like Adaptive Cruise Control make long highway trips much more manageable for the driver. They all also come with Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Blind Spot Monitoring as standard driver-assistance technology to keep everyone in the vehicle protected in everyday driving scenarios.
